Every year, cinephiles wake up early for the announcement from France of the films playing at the Cannes Film Festival. For the 79th Cannes Film Festival taking place this May, they have revealed an intriguing selection of very diverse international films, featuring new works from well-established filmmakers (they love them), as well as some newcomers getting their chance to shine on the Croisette. Cannes is continuing in its usual spot in mid-May, running from May 12th to 23rd , kicking things off a French film on opening night about a romance in the 1920s (called The Electric Kiss ). Just over a month to go until the fest begins on the Mediterranean coast.
