Mark Ruffalo Kind-Of, Sort-Of Teases A Moon Knight Appearance, So Get Speculating

Image
Marvel's upcoming "Moon Knight" series, starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, is currently filming in Budapest, and thanks to the wonders of social media, we now have confirmation that another major MCU actor, Mark Ruffalo — the Hulk himself — has been sighted in the same neighborhood. Could the Hulk be making an appearance in "Moon Knight?" Isaac and Ruffalo each posed for a picture with Instagram user Dora Magyari outside the same Budapest hotel, which is being used as one of the main shooting locations for "Moon Knight." It's possible that Ruffalo was just visiting the set, but he later sent out a cryptic tweet linking to a ScreenRant article with the photos embedded. Here's the tweet, so judge for yourself: Ruffalo's tweet alludes to him getting in trouble for being loose-lipped about future developments in the MCU. Looper even compiled a list of every time he's let an MCU spoiler slip . He says he's learned his lesson, b

Halo TV Series Set To Premiere On Paramount Plus In 2022

Image
"Halo" may bear the name of a ring of light around an angel's head, but as a would-be screen property, it's been stuck in development hell for years. Now, fans of the Xbox video game series who have been hoping to see "Halo" adapted are drawing closer to the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. ViacomCBS Streaming has again verified that a TV series based on the game will premiere on Paramount+ in 2022. We also have a better idea now of why "Halo" made the move from Showtime to Paramount+ . Via Decider , Jana Winograde and Gary Levine, the co-presidents of Showtime Entertainment, recently spoke about "Halo" at the TCA (Television Critics Association) summer press tour. There, they addressed the Paramount+ move. (ViacomCBS owns both the Showtime TV network and the Paramount+ streaming service.) Winograde said: "We love Halo . We have great affection for it. And that's a good fit, because we continue on at the studio. So,

Official Trailer for NatGeo's 'Fauci' Documentary Film Made in Secret

Image
"I don't understand the hate that people have." Bush, former national security advisor Susan Rice, former CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden, and key AIDS activists, among others. Hiding Out in a Demon Escort's Dungeon in Indie Horror 'Val' Trailer

Image
"You like that, don't you? Being dangerous." Dread Presents has revealed the first official trailer for a funky horror film titled Val , from filmmaker Aaron Fradkin. Not to be confused with the excellent documentary Val about Val Kilmer, this is a feature film that dips into something else entirely. Fin is a wanted criminal for the murder of his boss. He decides to hide out with a high class escort named Val, who's really a demon. Val offers to make his problems disappear if he follows her rules. She has been expecting him all along and it won’t be easy to escape Val's dungeon. Misha Reeves stars as the titular Val, short for Valefar, joined by Zachary Mooren as Fin, with Erik Griffin , Sufe Bradshaw , Kyle Howard , and John Kapelos . This is a very kinky, wacky concept that looks simultaneous extremely cheesy and seriously terrifying. Have fun. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Aaron Fradkin's Val , direct from Dread's YouTube :

The 15 Best Debut Films From Directors

Image
A great first film can jumpstart a filmmaker's career and show the world what makes them unique. For example, the conversational dialogue, '70s soundtrack, and nonlinear narrative of Quentin Tarantino's first film "Reservoir Dogs" established tropes that the director still relies on today. Not every great director starts out strong, though. Although he's one of the greatest filmmakers working today, David Fincher's career nearly imploded after his disastrous debut, "Alien 3." Similarly, some directors never reach the same highs as their promising debuts. There was lots of interest in Neil Blomkamp after the phenomenal "District 9," but his later films -- "Elysium," "Chappie," and "Demonic" --  failed to replicate its success . Directors with backgrounds in different fields sometimes have advantages, too; while the Best Picture winner "American Beauty" was Sam Mendes' first feature film, he

Final US Trailer for Bond Movie 'No Time to Die' Starring Daniel Craig

Image
"Nothing can prepare you for the epic conclusion." Eon Productions has released a "final US trailer" for No Time to Die , the 25th Bond movie and the fifth movie starring Daniel Craig as Agent 007. We featured numerous trailers last year but after many delays the release date has been reset for October this fall. This final trailer wraps up Daniel Craig's Bond era much like a Marvel trailer. When No Time to Die begins, Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous tech. The cast includes Jeffrey Wright as Felix, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q; plus Rami Malek , Ana de Armas , Léa Seydoux , Lashana Lynch , Billy Magnussen , Rory Kinnear , and David Dencik . I really hope this one is worth the wait, but from the looks of it, it might just be. This looks epic indeed - an
