Spiral: From the Book of Saw is almost here, and it will either be a wonderful new revival of the horror franchise or a weird curiosity we all puzzle over. Either way, people are going to watch it, and until it opens next month everyone can tide themselves over with two new clips. In the first  Spiral clip, Chris Rock receives a message from someone who is copycatting Jigsaw’s crimes. In another, Samuel L. Jackson , playing Rock’s father, comes across some of those creepy pig masks that somehow became iconic even though they barely featured into the original franchise. The clip is fine, I guess – but I’m  really thrown off by the robotic, altered voice the killer is using here. When  The Falcon and the Winter Soldier drew to a close last week, it had itself a new title –  Captain America and the Winter Soldier . This title makes sense, since Sam Wilson has gone from Falcon to Captain America, and will be leading his own  Captain America movie next . But according to  Falcon and The Winter Soldier head writer  Malcolm Spellman , it came close to having yet  another different title besides  Captain America and The Winter Soldier . And that title is  Captain America: The Legend of Curly’s Gold ! Okay, no it isn’t, but that would’ve been cool, too. The  actual alternate ending title was  Captain America and the White Wolf . White Wolf was yet another nickname for Bucky Barnes, and there’s a certain logic to giving him that official title at the end of the show, thus rubbing away the stain of the villainous Winter Soldier name. "Chills to the bone." Searchlight Pictures (and Disney UK) has debuted another new international trailer for The Night House , a mysterious haunted house horror thriller from filmmaker David Bruckner (of The Signal, The Ritual ). This first premiered at last year's Sundance Film Festival - we posted the first US trailer a few weeks ago. A widow attempts to uncover her recently deceased husband's disturbing secrets in their lakeside home. Though there's much more going on with duality and an eerie mirror home / alternate world where things aren't quite the same. But what does it all mean? Starring Rebecca Hall , Sarah Goldberg , Vondie Curtis Hall , Evan Jonigkeit , and Stacy Martin . There's still no UK release date yet, but it's set to open in the US in July. In 2020, Neill Blomkamp began shooting a secret horror film known only as Demonic. Time for a first look sneak peek! Last year it was revealed that filmmaker Neill Blomkamp , who lives up in Vancouver, Canada, decided to go out and shoot a low budget horror film in the woods during the pandemic summer. The title of the film is Demonic , but aside from a few hints here & there, not much is known about it - or what happens in it. The short synopsis: A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother & daughter are ruthlessly revealed. The film stars Carly Pope , Chris William Martin , and Michael Rogers . We now have two new photos and a fun little "behind-the-scenes 8mm" teaser to start building hype.
